About
Eric Tribe
Senior operator. I work with the teams building new ventures, inside big companies and in startups, so the wins start showing up on the board.
I've built companies as an operator and advised them as a strategist. The pattern is the same in both: a new venture stalls for lack of momentum long before it fails for lack of ideas. The part of the work I love most is the room where that changes, the standup where hardware, software and sales each show their piece, the wins go on the board, and everyone can feel the thing moving. I choose problems worth solving; the technology is the means, not the point.
As an operator, I helped scale Flashfood from 4 to more than 2,000 partner stores as Chief Revenue and Marketplace Officer, building the marketplace that had kept 50M pounds of food out of landfill and saved shoppers $120M by the time I left in 2022, and has since passed 145M pounds and $370M. I ran the enterprise partnerships and business development that got us there. As a strategist across 15 years at BCG and McKinsey, I led major transformations and stood up new businesses for global enterprises, including AI-enabled work well before AI was the headline.
Today I am a Partner at Pioneer Square Labs, where I lead the innovation studio and its corporate partnerships, and I run Tribe Ventures, working with founders and with Honda on its innovation agenda. I write weekly at Infinite Momentum.
